Original Panot Tile
Reproduction of the Flower Tile on Barcelona's sidewalks. With a brief history and certificate of origin.
The Barcelona Flower Tile was first used in the entrance hall of the Casa Amatller at Passeig de Gràcia. The Art Nouveau architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch was commissioned to design the building by its owner, chocolatier Antoni Amatller (see Chocolate in byebuybarcelona.com). The Barcelona Flower may have been chosen to symbolize a four-petaled almond blossom (in catalan flor de l'amatller) in reference to the owner's surname . It also appears in the building's coffered ceilings. Obtain the best Barcelona souvenirs.
Millions of flowers now cover the sidewalks of the city.
